I’m finally getting some work done on my box of VHS tapes I brought back with me after Mom & Dad moved. I randomly grabbed tapes that weren’t labeled to see if there was anything on them. Eventually I’ll be putting these tapes either to DVD or just posting online. Here’s a sample of the, uh, quality programming you’re about to get on Fridays. And yes, I realize the irony that our last name is spelled wrong and that a year later I went on to work at KWWL as the person who put in those graphics. ![]()

Well, at least over 200. I had to work a weird shift Saturday, so I didn’t go in until 11.30 at night. This gave me free time to actually get out and explore on Saturday afternoon. I remembered about Hobby Haven’s Saturday R/C races, so I walked over. It was a partly sunny day so I was able to get some fairly good pictures of the cars. There’s still a little bit to work on for framing and getting the focus right, but I figured for my first time there with the new camera I did okay. The only problem is that now I have the bug to get a remote controlled car again.
Ryan has a new car! Film (actually digital photos) at 11 (whenever I get around to it).
No, not the brown kind. The black-tire tread-holy crap-what the hell is that van doing kind. I was coming home from work tonight, in the right lane of I-235. I saw there were some cars coming on 235W from 63rd street. So, I got into the middle lane. Jack ass McVanIdiot went straight from the on ramp into my lane. We weren’t more than 8 inches from each other by the time I saw him in my blind spot, slammed on the brakes and moved into the far left lane. I know I skidded sideways for a bit and probably gave the cars behind me a small coronary, too. Meanwhile, dumb ass continued on, blissfully unaware of his first attempt at vehicular manslaughter. Oh, and yes, I laid on the horn. Which has brought a new problem to light… The new/rebuilt alternator that I got a couple months ago from Allison, appears to be completely dead. When I hit the horn, my radio turned off. I tried it again when I pulled into the apartment, turn on the turn signals, and the radio turns off. AWESOME. Time to go car shopping.
…one more newscaster going from a story about someone who was “lucky” on 7/7/07 to a story about something being “unlucky,” I’m going to stab myself in the eye with a plastic spoon.
