Hello to all of my dedicated readers. I hear you’re getting tired of reading the same update all the time. Well, guess what? You didn’t have to. You could have ignored it when you saw it was old.
But, yes, stuff has actually been going on. Some I couldn’t talk about, so I decided to just lay off pretty much everything for a bit.
Now, after a month and a half of preparations, I can finally talk about what’s been going on at work. We have a brand new news set! It’s actually pretty snazzy. For the past month I’ve been helping with planning for the weather lab move as we had to move almost 20 computers for just the weather guys. That’s a whole lotta cables and cords to pull for the new studio. The trick was that the other set also had to stay hooked up basically until the noon show before the 5pm debut. It was a mad dash to get things done, but we got them on the air. I still have several projects on my slate to take care of, but it’s nothing that can’t eventually be taken care of without having to stay for 12 hour days.
In non-work news, I’ve got an eye appointment on Tuesday at the Wolfe Eye Clinic. I’m looking at maybe getting my lazy eye fixed. Not sure if it can be done yet, but working on finding out. Maybe now that life’s calmed down just a bit I can give more than monthly updates on my progress.
