Again, I apologize for the lack of updates lately. Things have been going really good for me and that causes me to not complain about things as much. I do have something tonight, though, so yay for you. :)

First up is Louie & Pepper news. Together they seem to be adjusting pretty well to each other. We are still having some accidents with Louie, but they do seem to be getting less frequent and we know he can hold it in as he holds it when in his kennel. If anyone has tips for helping to house train a 6 month of Boston Terrier have at it in the comments section. Louie almost constantly wants to play with Pepper, to which she responds with a growl and a slap on his face. They really have adopted to the brother/sister roles quite well.

This weekend I’ve been trying to order some tickets through TicketMaster so that Ashley and I can go to see Craig Fergeson and also The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. For some reason though, the TicketMaster website is messed up and keeps rejecting my online purchase. I finally got it to go through for the Fergeson event but something is still wrong. I guess I’m just going to have to head down to the Civic Center on Monday and visit people in the actual TicketMaster Box Office.

In kinda related news to that, at the top of the post I said I’ve been pretty happy and content with my life lately. Work still has it’s troubles, but I’ve accepted that it is like that and that I can still be myself at work and enjoy my job. The other reason is that I’ve met a wonderful and very special person in my life right now. I couldn’t be happier and we make each other smile and laugh all the time. Sure, our dog eats dirt, rocks, and anything else he finds when we take him out for walks, and my cat has turned into the rebellious teenager, but we’re both very happy to have found each other and I really hope it continues. At this point in my life, I don’t think I would want it any other way. I’m even smiling right now writing this and sharing with the world how I feel. Granted, “the world” is probably only about 10 people, but that doesn’t matter as much as the fact that we both are very happy to have each other in our lives.

With that, I’m going to sign off for this update. Time to head on back upstairs at work to watch the end of the basketball game. Oh, and for the love of God please do not tell me how your bracket is doing. Honestly, the only people that care about your bracket are you and those you’ve bet money against. I’ve not done any of the above so I couldn’t give a monkey’s nose hair what the Davidson vs. Kansas game has done to your bracket.

I’m all for new media. In fact, it’s one of my favorite things to talk and think about. If I could choose something different to do at work it would be to work on and develop new ways of delivering the news to our viewers. Blogs actually are a very good way of getting information to people. It’s not just because I can express my viewpoint, but also syndicating blogs is incredibly easier and allows readers/viewers simple access to updated content. Personally, I use Google Reader for all of my blog-type readings.

Anyway, today I caught a blog from WCNC-TV from Charlotte, North Carolina. They’re covering a funeral for two firefighters from Salisbury. I’m all for covering events like this if it’s in good taste. However, there’s something about doing a minute by minute blog of the events. It just seems a little odd. Maybe not quite bad taste, but just seems like a little much to me.
