So, what’s new in the world of Ryan? A LOT! I’ve been meaning to post updates, but I’ve been incredibly busy with the latest changes in my life. Let’s start out with the biggest one: Ashley and I are planning on getting married. Yes, I typed that right. We’re not sure when yet, we still have some things and plans to work on, but will definitely let everyone know.

Along the lines of that, we have decided to move to Minnesota. We’re already up here, in fact. On Monday I started my new job at the Minneapolis Public Housing Authority as a Help Desk Technician. Basically, I get to help all of the staff with their computers, and also do other networking and computer related things. So far, I love it. There are so many things that I do, that no two days will ever be the same. The people up here are so outgoing and welcoming, too. I’m sure I will really like it here.

As for housing, Ashley and I are going to look at places this next week, but for now we’re staying with a friend of mine from in Bloomington. The traffic hasn’t been too bad for me getting to work, it takes about 20-25 minutes each way. One night it did take me 40 minutes to get home, though, so that was interesting. I work on the NW side of downtown Minneapolis, but also get to travel out to some of the other properties that MPHA owns if I need to. Hopefully we’ll find a place soon and be moved in before her birthday on the 9th and also before she has surgery. We’ll keep everyone updated when we get a new address.
