Okay, so I admit it. I don’t take the time to update the site like I used to. Other social media like Facebook & Twitter seem to have taken over my time. Well, I wanted to know something. What is the main reason you visit this site? Is it for the weather info on the sidebars? Or.. do you just like reading about my misery out in the everyday world. Comment to this post and let me find out.
Either way, I’m working on adding a new addition to the site. I found a plugin that will pass through my Twitter posts. I’m working on installing this now and hopefully it will work well. This means there will probably be much more frequent updates, some relevant, some not, but all will most definitely be short. (Perfect for those of you with short attention spans.) SQUIRREL! Just checking….

Sorry for the downtime the last couple of days. I decided to start messing around with the website again after a far-too-long absence and ended up blowing things up. The website is much happier now and new things are just a bit down the road. I’ve also started getting my weather server back in order. I can still offer text message and email weather alerts. I’m also working on setting up a separate Twitter & Facebook page if you like receiving alerts that way.
That’s about it for now… time to head to work. Now that I’ve got the website back up and healthy again, I’ll try to update more again… especially now that I live on the SE side of Des Moines… there’s always *something* interesting going on.

Hi all. First a note that I apologize if this message is short… I’m trying on a touch screen phone and still getting the hang of it. Anyways in one week from tomorrow Ashley and I will be moving back to Iowa. I’m getting a PT job again back at KCCI. we’re both excited for the new change and new challenges. You might even get to see more updates on here, too! If you’d like our new address send me a message and I’ll get it back to you. (Plus I don’t know what it is yet.)

Hi kids, time for another update from the family up north. We’re in the process of moving to a new home, but we’re not sure where yet. If everything goes well it will just be to another apartment here in Stillwater. We plan on staying in place for quite a while this time!
Sorry that I don’t have a whole lot to say… just trying to go with the flow and stay warm and out of the rain. As long as we both hold true to our promise, stay tuned soon for another update from Ashley.

Hello everyone, its the wife. We have had recent complaints that a certain uncle is not posting as much as people would like. So here is our commitment one of us or both will post on here once a week. And get things back up and running. Also Fyi I have no clue what I am doing since i have never been able to do this with a website. So errors might happen.

You can start stalking me again. I just re-added my Justin.tv webcam to the top right of the homepage. Now you can watch my frustration level rise in real time as I try to fix computers for people. I also added back the Meebo chat window since Digsby doesn’t work as well with our firewall here at work.
Like I said a few weeks ago, alot has changed recently. I’ve been making lots of trips back to Iowa to help Mom & Dad do things or just to visit. Life up in the cities is going okay, too. Sometimes a struggle, but we manage. It’s the struggles that help make you respect and be grateful for what you have.
Anyways, I really will try to keep updating.. but we’ve all heard that before. Maybe I should see if I can find both a twitter and a facebook plugin for my website, so when I update one of those, the website also gets updated.
